Guide in intelligent casting vote.

We cannot deny the fact that people nowadays are so busy in choosing their rightful candidates for the position in the Government. We also cannot deny that the people who are running for the chair in the Government make their intuitive moves, whether it's in a good way or another way around, just to win the vote of the people.

For the people who will cast their vote,I have the criteria for you. This would lead you to choose the right person in the position. first,GTKYC (Getting To Know Your Candidate). You have to know first the lists of the candidates who are running in the position. Secondly, Profiling. You have to see their social status, whether s/he is married or single, a public servant already or a first-timer, etc. Thirdly, we go now to his/her Track Record. This is to evaluate that person whether s/he is capable of the position s/he is running for. Fourthly, Qualifying. You have to weight the candidates who are running for the same position basing in their Track Records & Profiles. It is here that you have to qualify the candidates. Lastly, Writing. You have to write the candidate of choice in a sheet of paper so that you will not forget it. That's my way in choosing my candidates. If you care to follow it, you can have it.

Did you risk your neck for a friend?

A mark of greatness, which something to be proud of, is being a true friend and having trusted friends. We cannot do away ourselves with others. We are "social" being. We live with others. It is true to this adage, "No man is an island." that is why we need others to lean on. We need friends.

The subject of friendship has been talked and written about so much in secular literature. In fact, there are a lot of poem, songs, novel, drama and others about friendship. But too seldom do we discuss it as part of our faith. And yet, what would we do without Christian friends? The basis of our relationship with others is that we have been called Christ's friends (John 15:12-17).But friendship would not be limited to christian community alone, it's a universal language. It's applicable to the whole humanity whether you are christian, muslim, buddism, taoism, or atheist etc. Friendship has no exemption. It's a gift for the whole humanity.

In christian understanding, Jesus told us that the crucial ingredient in friendship with Him is doing His commandments. We are called to keep His commandments in our relationships with one another. This means needing Him more than our friends and never substituting time with them for quality time with Him. But it also means living His commandment to love one another as He has loved us. As I've expressed it often, "Christ is a friend who won't go away. Once we've experienced His quality of friendship, we can be that kind of friend to others."

This concept of friendship leads us to consider two unsung heroes of our faith -- a couple name Priscilla and Aquila. They were fellow workers who risked their necks in Paul's defense. Also, they were distinguished for the church in their home.
Whenever we meet this stellar couple on the pages of the New Testament, they are ministering to others. They not only helped question lingers: Is there anyone who would say about us what Paul said about them? For whom are we risking our necks in the name of Jesus?

reflection: Did you risks your neck for a friend?

Change is in our hand.

I've been gone for almost, I think, 3 weeks in blogging. I was so busy with my work here in Provincial Capitol, Province of Bohol, Philippines. Half of the day was being consumed in encoding the list of the names of the people of Bohol for the government to have a computerized record. It was a very exhausted work to do. But that the way it was.

This is the routine that I did for the whole 3 weeks in my life. But it was not quite boring because I have friends in work who always making jokes. We laugh and laugh to the brink of losing hold of our saliva. Hehehe. But it's true. I do believe it's a remedy for not engulfing ourselves from the boring routine in the workplace.

I realize that it's hard to live life if you don't own your time. We can manage time but it's different if we own our time. There are to much delays of the plan you want to do if you don't own your time. Really, I am not getting happy in that situation. That's what I realize now. I am not happy. I feel I am in the box in which I find myself unproductive. I realize that I have to make a decision -- a decision that would ever change the state of my life, a fruitful and productive life.

I am dreaming of early retirement. In my retirement, I'm beginning to travel into different places, eat in different restaurant in the world, having a vacation in different panoramic and historical places, and many other activities in life that makes me happy and enjoy. How I do it? first and foremost, I have to make my decision now or else things may remain in dreams. Perhaps, if I'm not making my decision now I may find myself living in a daydream -- dreaming when my eyes open, nothing happens. It is so sad. I'm pity to myself.

But this would not happen. I have to make my decision now for a big change -- change that would make a history; a history that people would always remember. When people hear the word "change" it points directly to my life -- Russ' life. Hehehehe. It somewhat an insane dream but it's not. It's possible. I can do it. Or you can do it too. I start it now. Change is in my hand.

See this one...
